Terms of Use
Last updated: 9 October 2026
In short: the editor is free to use. Your files stay on your device and remain yours. Check your documents before you rely on them, because the service is provided as is.
Using the editor
By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it. The editor is free, needs no account, and runs entirely in your web browser.
Your files and content
Your files, and anything you add to them, stay yours. We never receive them, so we can't recover, view or back them up for you. Your work exists only in your browser tab until you download it.
Only edit documents you have the right to edit, and don't use the editor to forge signatures, alter official documents to mislead anyone, or do anything else that is illegal or infringes someone else's rights. You are responsible for the documents you create.
Check your documents
Always review the downloaded file before you send, sign, print or rely on it. In particular:
- White-out is not secure redaction. It covers content visually, but the original text stays in the file and can be found or copied. Don't use it to hide sensitive information.
- Measurements depend on the scale you set. Double-check any length that matters.
- See Good to know for the editor's other limitations.
No warranty
The editor is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We don't promise that it will always be available, error-free, or able to open every PDF.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, documents, profits or business, arising from your use of the editor. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer-protection laws that can't be excluded.
Ads and other websites
This site may show ads from Google AdSense and may link to other websites. We don't control those ads or websites and aren't responsible for their content. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies are used.
Open-source software
The editor is built with PDF.js by Mozilla (Apache License 2.0) and pdf-lib by Andrew Dillon and contributors (MIT License). Their license terms apply to that software.
Changes
We may update the editor or these terms at any time. If the terms change, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
